EMG, Reinvented for the Wrist

Mudra’s SNC sensors pick up EMG signals from your wrist, processes them with powerful algorithms, and converts them into digital commands. The result? Instant, touch-free control of your devices, powered by the natural movement of your fingers.

Mudra’s sensors are a breakthrough in wrist-based sEMG. But what is EMG anyway, and how does it work?

EMG. Your Muscles Whisper—We Listen

Just like a microphone captures sound waves in the air, EMG sensors detect the tiny electrical signals that travel through your muscles every time you move.

EMG reads these signals by placing sensors on your skin.

sEMG? Reading Signals—Right from the Surface

Surface EMG (sEMG) allows us to measure muscle activity by placing sensors on the skin’s surface.

It's a powerful, non-invasive way to detect movement—but as signals pass through layers of skin, they can lose strength and clarity, making it difficult to capture precise muscle intent.

"It's All in the Wrist"

Why the wrist? It’s a natural place for wearables—think watches. Plus, it’s right where the three main nerve bundles run, making it the perfect spot to capture precise muscle signals.

And thanks to its oval shape, sensors stay stable, even while you move.

sEMG for the Wrist? It Didn't Exist.

Traditional sEMG sensors were designed for primary muscle groups, capturing signals from the muscle belly - not for the faint, subtle signals of the wrist. So we engineered a new kind of sensor to pick up EMG signals with unmatched precision.

The signals at the wrist are faint, distant from the forearm muscles they originate from, and easily drowned out by noise. These are major engineering challenges—capturing them with precision required an entirely new approach—an approach called SNC

Mudra’s SNC: sEMG Designed for Your Wrist!

sEMG wasn’t built for the wrist—so we built one that is.

Mudra’s SNC technology is a breakthrough in wrist-based sEMG designed to capture clear, reliable signals in the wrist’s complex anatomy.

SNC is proprietary wrist-based sEMG designed for seamless, real-world use that cuts through the noise—giving you precise, effortless control.

ABOUT US

Wearable Devices Ltd. develops a non-invasive Neural input interface for controlling digital devices using subtle finger movements.

We believe that neural-based interfaces will become as ubiquitous as wearable computing and digital devices in general, just as the touchscreen became the universal input method for smartphones.
